Automating unloading with precision and efficiency

Gasbarre partnered with Vention to automate the unloading of delicate pressed parts from a 30T hydraulic press. The challenge was to precisely place each part onto a tray system without overlap, while maintaining a stable, rigid setup with minimal lateral movement. Vention’s machine components, including MachineMotion, a safety area scanner, and a servo drive, helped support the application.

Vention implemented a robotic unloading solution built around a Universal Robots UR10e cobot and modular structural hardware, along with enclosure and area-scanner safety features. The system improved throughput by 100% for lights-out production, reallocated one FTE to other tasks, and is expected to deliver a six-month payback. Vention also helped streamline operations with a more intuitive, minimally human-involved process.
