ARE23, an augmented robotics engineering company, needed a way to help address labor shortages, productivity constraints, and health and safety risks in construction environments. To tackle this, they worked with Vention and its modular hardware and Cloud 9 programming environment to build a robotic solution for painting, plastering, and coating hard-to-reach industrial surfaces.

Vention helped ARE23 deploy a 3-axis interior surface coating robot that could autonomously scan surfaces, determine an optimal path, and spray coatings in inaccessible areas. The team quickly integrated their own code with ARE-OS, customized the pendant interface, and completed the project with an equipment cost of $19,000 USD, 26 hours of assembly time, and a 15-day design-to-commission timeline.
