AEG - Customer Case Study

AEG, a specialist in cartesian palletizers and custom material-handling software, was tasked with a high-speed palletizing solution for frozen delicacies packaged in boxes of varying sizes and weights that must be handled below 0°C and within a hardware budget of $40,000. To meet control and motion requirements, AEG integrated Vention’s MachineMotion controller into the project.

AEG built a double-pallet, 4-axis cartesian palletizer that runs on Vention’s MachineMotion controller and uses Vention belt-driven actuators on X/Y and ball-screw actuators on Z, plus a rotary axis and suction-cup end effector to handle up to 20 kg boxes and different layer orientations. The system was completed in 2.5 months with equipment cost $34,824 USD, 17 hours of design, 42 hours of assembly and 67 hours commissioning, delivering a compact, configurable palletizing cell that met the sub-zero and budget constraints—powered by Vention components.
