Bevi, maker of next-generation water dispensers that purify, flavor and carbonate tap water to cut bottled-beverage costs and save energy, needed a software solution that would synchronize with its hardware module to manage smart water coolers. Vention was engaged to provide that software capability, focusing on Android app development and embedded connectivity to interface with Bevi’s machines.

Vention delivered an Android-powered app from scratch (Java, Android SDK) with BLE and USB serial integration, built in two months by a single developer, enabling direct control of Bevi’s hardware and letting end users select from a variety of flavors. The solution improved the user experience, provided robust machine connectivity, and supported Bevi’s operational goals of reducing bottled-beverage reliance and energy use.
