Cigar City Brewing Takes Customer Experience to the Next Level with Vendini

Cigar City Brewing, maker of the famed Hunahpu’s Day beer festival, faced growing pains as the event ballooned from a small release party into a large, ticketed festival drawing thousands. Rapid growth exposed shortcomings in previous ticketing providers — long entry lines, technological failures and forged/scalped tickets — that threatened attendee experience and event security.

Vendini implemented integrated RFID wristbands and provided onsite support, combining ticket sales, wristband fulfillment and event staffing. The technology cut entry time from about 1 hour 15 minutes to 22 minutes, reduced ticket fraud and scalping, improved crowd flow and customer data capture, and delivered a smoother, more secure festival experience that led Cigar City to continue the partnership.
