Vena Solutions, a cloud FP&A platform that combines Excel with a centralized database, workflow, reporting and analytics, partnered with Pinnacle Agricultural Holdings—a $1.5B agricultural retail and wholesale distributor operating in 27 states—to modernize a strained finance function. Pinnacle’s legacy FP&A tools couldn’t keep pace with growth: ad hoc reporting was cumbersome during audits, reconciling accounts across eight entities made the close process slow and error-prone, and finance teams spent excessive time re-reconciling and preparing audit materials.
Vena integrated with Pinnacle’s GL and centralized 12–24 months of historical data, automated financial close workflows, and provided self-serve drill-down reporting so accountants and auditors could trace summary numbers to source. The result: a 2,000-hour reduction in annual audit effort, review time cut in half by direct data integration, fewer re-reconciliations, a lighter FP&A workload, and faster, more confident access to actuals and budgets for finance executives.
