University of Tartu Museum renews wayfinding signs within budget with Velvet

The University of Tartu Museum faced the challenge of renewing its wayfinding signage system on a very limited budget, which made a complete replacement of the existing glass panels unfeasible. Vendor Velvet was tasked with creating a new, impactful design within these strict financial constraints.

Velvet implemented a creative and sustainable solution by removing the old graphics from the existing glass and applying new stickers to both the front and back surfaces. This cost-effective approach, which also included repainting hardware and updating texts, resulted in a sophisticated design that uses light, shadow, and the glass's thickness to enhance spatial perception. The solution successfully displays crucial information prominently while discreetly integrating branding, exceeding expectations and proving that constraints can drive high-quality, effective results.
