Wingspan is rediscovering their Microsoft Dynamics GP solution by extending it to meet their business intelligence technology needs

Wingspan, a Cleveland-based non-profit managing a $16 million investment portfolio and a wide range of programs from foster care to autism services, needed modern business intelligence to replace legacy spreadsheets and an outdated financial application. Working with Velosio, Wingspan selected Microsoft Dynamics GP and its BI add-ons (Business Portal, FRx Forecaster, SmartList Builder, Analytical Accounting, Grant Management, SOX Accelerator, etc.) to gain timely, accurate financial and operational insight across many funders and programs.

Velosio deployed Microsoft Dynamics GP and the related modules, rolling Business Portal out to roughly half of Wingspan’s staff, migrating fundraising to Grant Management, and implementing FRx Forecaster and the SOX Accelerator. The solution has already produced more confident, faster budgeting (from $100K to multimillion-dollar budgets), streamlined accreditation reporting, and better alignment of day‑to‑day work with strategic goals; Wingspan expects further measurable improvements within 6–9 months with Velosio’s implementation.
