Velosio Delivers Solid Foundation for the Model Group

Model Group, a Cincinnati-based real estate development and property management firm, faced complex reporting and accounting needs across its affordable housing and multifamily portfolio. After outgrowing an older property management package but wanting to retain Microsoft Dynamics GP as its accounting backbone, Model Group engaged Velosio to address the multifaceted integration and reporting challenges between its property management system (BostonPost) and Dynamics GP.

Velosio built a sophisticated, SQL-based interface between BostonPost and Microsoft Dynamics GP that automates data exchange and eliminates redundant data entry. The solution enabled Model Group to bring billing in-house (saving about $2,500 per month), speed billing and cash flow through real-time processing, and produce complex monthly reports for 50+ properties—completing month-end reporting within two weeks with a five-person accounting team. Velosio’s integration delivered a scalable, efficient platform that met Model Group’s operational and reporting requirements.
