Maarel Orchids, one of the world’s largest potted Phalaenopsis growers producing over 10 million orchids a year across four companies, faced rapid expansion with many business processes managed in Excel, leading to errors, limited analytics, and the need to integrate multiple systems after an acquisition. To address this, Maarel Orchids engaged Velosio to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV alongside the Agriware solution.
Velosio leveraged Microsoft Dynamics NAV’s flexible interface to integrate legacy systems from SO Natural and the acquired Delta Orchids, worked with Agriware’s development to tailor nursery-specific functionality, and phased in features such as Packing Planning and built-in CRM. The result was a single integrated system—a “one truth” data source—that improved visibility, sped response to customer demand, supported continued growth and sales, and enabled Maarel Orchids to manage large-scale production and another major expansion without overtaxing its systems.
