A Velosio Case Study
Global Strategy Group (GSG), a New York–based public affairs, communications, and research firm, had outgrown Salesforce and needed a modern, comprehensive solution for CRM, project automation, and business management. Working with Velosio, GSG evaluated options and moved to Microsoft Dynamics 365—including Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation and Dynamics 365 Business Central—to replace its patched-together Salesforce setup and aging Sage 50 accounting system.
Velosio implemented and customized Dynamics 365 (with Power BI reporting) to streamline the flow from opportunity to project, automate time entry and billing, and recognize revenue only after project completion. As a result, GSG gained real-time utilization and scheduling visibility, replaced manual reporting with interactive dashboards, and lowered monthly licensing costs (Microsoft was 34% less expensive than Salesforce), improving productivity, profitability controls, and accurate sales crediting.
