Sabic Petrokemya completes 580 corrosion loop templates with Velosi Asset Integrity Limited

Sabic Petrokemya appointed Velosi Asset Integrity Limited to conduct a comprehensive Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) study for its OLEFINS plants. The challenge was to optimize inspection scopes and intervals to reduce costs while focusing efforts on the most critical static equipment and piping systems that could impact plant operations.

Velosi implemented the RBI study using the APMS Mechanical Integrity module and GE Meridium software. The solution involved extensive re-circuitization of piping, updating corrosion loops, developing integrity operating windows, and migrating data into SAP and Meridium systems. Velosi successfully delivered the project, which exceeded client expectations by providing high-quality deliverables that aligned with the client’s vision, ultimately optimizing inspection strategies and reducing costs.
