PetroKemya Utilities-South & Polystyrene Plants completes 580 corrosion loop RBI study with Velosi Asset Integrity Limited

The customer, PetroKemya Utilities-South & Polystyrene Plants (a subsidiary of SABIC), faced the challenge of optimizing inspection scopes and intervals to reduce costs while focusing efforts on their most critical static equipment and piping systems. Velosi Asset Integrity Limited was appointed to conduct a comprehensive Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) study utilizing their VAIL-Plant® APMS Mechanical Integrity (MI) module.

Velosi implemented a detailed solution involving piping re-circuitization, the development of corrosion loops, and the creation of integrity operating windows. Their team successfully migrated data into both SAP and GE Meridium systems, deactivated redundant circuits, and generated new inspection strategies. The project was a successful completion that exceeded client expectations, resulting in high-quality deliverables that optimized inspection planning and reduced overall costs for the customer.
