Danone Enhances Permit Processes With VelocityEHS’s Control of Work Solution

Danone, the French food and beverage group with over 100,000 employees and products in 120 markets, faced an inefficient, paper‑based permit-to-work process at its Macroom site that consumed auditor time, generated excessive paper waste, and increased safety risk by making it hard to verify worker and contractor qualifications. As part of its DaMaWay push to go paperless and standardize site practices, Danone needed a digital solution to improve compliance, visibility and operational safety.

Danone implemented VelocityEHS’s Control of Work solution, supported by training, interactive workshops and mobile devices, to digitize permits, hazard assessments and isolation management. The rollout achieved full user adoption, faster permit processing, reduced administrative overhead and paper use, improved visibility of on-site risk (communication, cooperation, control and competence), better contractor qualification tracking, and a stronger safety culture that lowers the likelihood of accidents.
