A VelocityEHS Case Study
Johnson Matthey (JM), a global leader in sustainable chemical manufacturing, aimed to reduce workplace musculoskeletal injuries but struggled with low site engagement and inconsistent, paper-based ergonomics assessments that required specialist knowledge. These barriers limited standardized risk assessment across 35 sites and more than 5,000 operational employees.
By adopting VelocityEHS Industrial Ergonomics—bringing embedded training, AI-assisted 3D motion capture and machine-learning recommendations—JM standardized and simplified assessments, grew site ergo teams, and boosted participation. The result was a dramatic increase in risk awareness and engagement and a 97% reduction in ergonomic-related recordable injuries between 2018 and 2025.
