Yamaha drives digital transformation with Veeam

Yamaha Brazil, part of the global Yamaha Motor group with ~2,500 employees and ~420 dealerships, launched a digital transformation to improve customer experience and streamline dealership operations. The IT team identified shortcomings in legacy backup systems—high cost, slow and complex backups, lack of native encryption—and sought a modern, secure, agile solution to support hybrid-cloud computing and regulatory requirements like Brazil’s LGPD.

Yamaha deployed Veeam Availability Suite (with support from V8 Consulting) to provide modern data protection, built‑in disaster recovery and centralized management across on‑premises and cloud environments. Veeam now protects 50 TB of monthly data across ~350 physical and virtual machines, cut the backup window by 15 hours, enables minute‑level recoveries and exposes backup data via APIs for analytics to improve digital marketing, while supporting LGPD compliance and stronger ransomware defenses.
