Xpress Payment Solutions is a Lagos-based ePayments provider serving thousands of customers and connecting to 19 banks in Nigeria. Because every transaction depends on Oracle and SQL systems, the IT team’s top priority was minimizing downtime—but legacy backup tools couldn’t protect Oracle without costly agents, forced management of two backup environments, had limited tape support for the company’s 3-2-1 strategy, and delivered slow, unreliable recovery that risked delaying product launches.
The company deployed Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows to protect virtual and physical servers, using Instant VM Recovery, Veeam Explorers and Veeam DataLabs for fast, point-in-time restores and test environments, plus replica failover for stronger BC/DR. As a result, backup, replication and recovery for Oracle and SQL are simplified and expedited, downtime is minimized so time to market is faster, and the firm better meets Central Bank of Nigeria and PCI DSS compliance requirements.
