Volvo Car BeLux supports about 70 independent Volvo dealerships in Belgium and Luxembourg and needed a better way to protect the dealer management system that drives sales, inventory and customer care. Growing data made onsite tape backups cost‑prohibitive and slow, creating risk from hardware refreshes, human error and recovery times that could stretch to a day—threatening dealers’ ability to operate.

Simac virtualised dealers’ servers on VMware vSphere and deployed Veeam Backup & Replication to back up VMs to on‑site Synology NAS with copies to Simac’s private cloud (NetApp FAS). The solution enables restores within four hours, instant VM recovery and granular item-level restores, delivering reliable offsite backups, scalable recovery and high availability of critical applications so dealers can focus on running their business.
