Catalyst2 Services Ltd, a UK hosting provider that runs tens of thousands of customer sites from Telehouse Europe and has virtualized its shared hosting environment, needed a VMware backup solution that supported VMware vSphere 4 and was simple to deploy and manage across its ~50 virtual servers.

Working with S3 Consulting, Catalyst2 implemented Veeam Backup & Replication, which installed in about 10 minutes (versus up to 90 minutes for other products), provided seamless support for vSphere 4 and a single management console with FastSCP integration, and delivered 30–40% backup compression plus deduplication—reducing storage costs and simplifying ongoing operations.
