Christie Digital Systems USA, a global visual technologies company with four data centers and more than 500 VMware virtual machines (about 70% of its infrastructure), needed continuous VM monitoring without adding a separate framework. The GIS team required a solution that would fully integrate with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager to give a single management interface.

They deployed Veeam Management Pack for VMware, an agentless, System Center–native monitor that provides unified visibility across physical servers, VMs and applications plus alerts, dashboards, topology and detailed health metrics (memory/disk pressure, IOPS). The MP enabled Christie to centralize monitoring in Operations Manager, produce actionable reports (which revealed simultaneous antivirus scans causing I/O spikes), fix scheduling issues, and achieve cost-effective, easy-to-use monitoring with comprehensive metrics and out-of-the-box reports.
