Hologic replaced the legacy tools and service provider with Veeam Availability Suite backing up ~2,000 VMware VMs to ExaGrid with replication to two data centers, enabling rapid recovery and DR. The deployment delivered enterprise scalability and uninterrupted availability, saved $3 million over three years, cut 3,000 troubleshooting hours annually (about one FTE), uncovered $100,000 in capacity savings from VM right‑sizing, and helped Hologic continue meeting SLAs.
