Case Study: Singapore Internet Exchange Ltd achieves affordable, centralized 24/7 VMware monitoring with Veeam ONE (Veeam)

A Veeam Case Study

Preview of the Singapore Internet Exchange Ltd Case Study

Veeam ONE Provides an Economical Way for a Not-for-profit Organization to Monitor its Virtual Environment

The Singapore Internet Exchange (SGIX) is a not-for-profit Internet Exchange Point that connects ISPs and content providers across Singapore. Running a virtualized infrastructure of four VMware ESXi hosts and 19 mission‑critical VMs, SGIX needed an economical monitoring and reporting tool that supported VMware and would provide a consolidated view, alerts and documentation beyond what free ESX tools could deliver.

SGIX deployed Veeam ONE to gain a centralized view, 24/7 real‑time monitoring with prebuilt alarms, and automated reporting and documentation. The solution alerted the team to a failing host disk, uncovered missing VMware tools on some Linux VMs, simplified change tracking, and helped optimize resource usage—all at a cost suitable for a small, budget‑conscious organization.
