Veeam helps Kinepolis Group deliver the ultimate movie experience

Kinepolis Group, a Belgium-based cinema operator with 111 multiplexes and about 40 million customers a year, needed reliable, centralized protection for the IT systems that deliver its “ultimate movie experience.” Legacy backup had become decentralized, complicated and unreliable, putting critical systems—including ticketing, concessions, the website and a Power BI data warehouse that drives business decisions—at risk of outages that would harm customer experience and competitiveness.

Kinepolis implemented Veeam Availability Suite to centralize and simplify backups, protecting 2 TB across roughly 400 VMs in two data centers (to Nutanix). Veeam now secures the data warehouse and customer-facing systems while providing daily reporting, monitoring and capacity planning so the IT team can resolve issues proactively. The result is fast, reliable backups, improved visibility and greater confidence to innovate without risking customer impact.
