Veeam Helps Dorel Juvenile Keep Kids Safe

Dorel Juvenile, a global leader in children’s products known for brands like Maxi‑Cosi and Safety 1st, relies on continuous access to data to design, test and manufacture products that meet strict safety standards such as i‑Size (R129). Facing an aging backup platform, rising data volumes and the need for hardware‑agnostic, easy‑to‑manage disaster recovery, Dorel needed a solution that would minimize downtime and preserve data integrity across manufacturing, R&D and customer engagement channels.

Dorel deployed Veeam Availability Suite (pilotled with partner Acknowledge and Dell EMC), protecting 300 VMs (150 TB) and roughly 1,200 users. The platform went live in Q1 2018, was operational in two days, and delivered Instant VM Recovery, stronger DR, and reduced dependence on external consultants—saving “tens of thousands” of euros—while ensuring reliable, recoverable data to support product safety, development and digital customer engagement.
