Veeam helps Colomiers Town Hall to provide and guarantee a quality and continuous public service for the town and its citizens

Colomiers Town Hall, which serves a community of more than 38,000 residents, faced an archaic IT environment and an outdated backup system that had not been updated since 2012. After a catastrophic failure that almost erased critical data, the IT team used a free Veeam tool to recover lost information and then sought a secure, easy-to-manage solution to restore trust in public services and modernize the town’s infrastructure.

The municipality deployed a Nutanix hyper‑converged platform with VMware and Veeam Backup Enterprise across two computer rooms and a Business Continuity Plan, protecting 82 VMs and growing from 12TB to 15TB of backed-up data. The new setup cut five‑year backup costs by 25% (from €60,700 to €44,252), reduced weekly monitoring from hours to minutes, shortened staff training to a few hours, prevented further major data incidents, and enabled the IT team to deliver more reliable, higher‑quality public services.
