Veeam guarantees Ivanhoe Grammar School’s communication with its key communities

Ivanhoe Grammar School, a multi‑campus coeducational Anglican school serving about 2,000 students and a wider community of more than 5,500 teachers, parents and alumni, relied on a 95% virtualised environment (10 hosts, 126 VMs, ~57 TB) managed by a 15‑person IT team. Their legacy backup system was complex, unreliable and expensive, with full backups taking up to two days—putting timely digital communications and critical services at risk.

The school deployed Veeam Backup & Replication with HPE 3PAR, HPE servers and VMware—tested and placed into production in about a week—using agentless, scalable features such as SureBackup, Instant VM Recovery and Veeam Explorer. Results included shrinking full backup time from two days to ~6 hours, halving licensing costs, up to 75% lower maintenance/administration expenses, 30% less backup storage, faster RPO/RTO and quicker, more reliable recoveries with improved visibility and 24/7 support.
