A Veeam Case Study
First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, which operates nearly three dozen ministries including Indian Rocks Christian School (about 970 students), faced a growing data-protection crisis: backups were unreliable, restore processes were slow and manual, and data volumes had grown more than tenfold to over 10 TB. Critical systems—email, file servers, virtual desktops and classroom materials—were at risk, and the small IT team needed a time- and cost-effective way to ensure availability and meet records-retention requirements for audits.
The church deployed Veeam Backup & Replication to deliver 24/7/365 availability, increase retention and simplify restores. Veeam extended Exchange retention from 7 to 21 days, cut recovery time from 24 hours to 30 minutes (a 98% reduction), doubled IT productivity—saving roughly a month of full-time labor annually—and enabled fast, reliable audit responses while keeping classroom labs and 70 VMware VMs available.
