A Veeam Case Study
Sydney Living Museums, which cares for 12 historic houses, gardens and museums in New South Wales and employs around 250 staff, was struggling with outdated IT and backup systems. Slow, incomplete backups and lengthy recovery processes were impacting online collections, back-office functions and front-of-house transactions, degrading visitor experience and putting valuable digital assets at risk.
Working with Counterparts Technology, SLM implemented Veeam Availability Suite on HPE storage to deliver reliable, nearline backups and fast recovery. The change doubled backup throughput, enabled Instant VM Recovery (restore in under 30 minutes), freed roughly one FTE worth of IT time, improved transaction speeds for visitors, and provided verifiable disaster-recovery capabilities with minimal business disruption.
