A Veeam Case Study

Preview of the U.S. Navy Case Study

Veeam awarded $21 million contract to provide data backup and recovery software for the U.S. Navy

Veeam was awarded a five‑year, $21 million Program Level Agreement to support PMW 160 and the U.S. Navy’s CANES program, the Navy’s next‑generation tactical afloat network. The Navy required a secure, interoperable backup and recovery solution to modernize shipboard networks, protect mission data, and meet stringent cyber and operational requirements across complex afloat environments.

Under the contract Veeam will provide configuration, maintenance and testing for the Veeam Data Platform and Kasten K10 for Kubernetes, delivering resilient, container‑aware backup and recovery. The award validates Veeam’s security and reliability investments—supported by Common Criteria and DoDIN APL certifications—and underscores its commitment to supporting Navy modernization and warfighter readiness.
