A Veeam Case Study
Beijing Zizhou Investment & Fund Management, an internet financial services firm with two off-site data centers and more than 200 VMs, faced strict regulatory disaster‑recovery requirements, rapidly growing data volumes (about 20 TB and doubling), and pain points around unpredictable backups, availability risks and rising operational costs. Ensuring efficient, secure VM backup, replication and fast restore was critical to maintain business continuity and a good user experience.
Zizhou deployed Veeam Availability Suite (Veeam Backup & Replication + Veeam ONE), using vPower technology to run and recover VMs directly from compressed, deduplicated backups and providing 24x7 monitoring and reporting. The solution cut backup storage by roughly 50% (VM backups that were 500–600 GB now occupy <300 GB), shortened RTPOs to well under target times, and reduced IT staff needs from about five to one, improving recovery speed, reliability and operational efficiency.
