UniCredit Bank Ukraine, part of UniCredit Group, built a VMware-based internal cloud to host mission‑critical services but found Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) agents couldn’t provide comprehensive visibility into the growing virtual environment. The bank needed a way to centralize monitoring of both physical and virtual servers without deploying a separate monitoring system.
They implemented the Veeam nworks Management Pack for VMware, which uses the VMware VI API for agentless data collection and integrates directly into SCOM with preconfigured rules, metrics and reporting. The deployment delivered full SCOM integration and single‑pane monitoring of vCenter, clusters, hosts, VMs and storage, producing richer analytics, proactive alerts, simplified operations and reduced maintenance overhead.
