The municipality of Bnei Brak, Israel’s most densely populated city serving more than 200,000 residents, depended on timely access to municipal data for citizen services but faced major limitations with its legacy backup system. Backups could take days, success rates hovered around 50%, and restoring files or emails often caused multi-day delays that hurt response times and public satisfaction.

Bnei Brak deployed Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE, beginning with the free community edition and moving to Enterprise Plus, to simplify management, increase backup frequency and monitor the environment. The result: backup windows shortened from days to minutes (over 99% faster), backup success rose to 100%, single-file and email restores became roughly 200× faster, and staff can now respond to citizen requests far more quickly.
