A Veeam Case Study
Tereos, a global agro-industrial cooperative with 15,800 employees and €7.1 billion in annual revenue, needed to standardize and improve protection for mission-critical systems across more than 30 European processing plants. After growth by acquisition left sites using mixed backup technologies and some unreliable backups, the company faced risks of extended downtime, loss of traceability and compliance data, and insufficient monitoring and recovery capabilities.
Tereos adopted the Veeam Data Platform (including Advanced Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365) as its standard, deploying Veeam at 23 sites to protect 73 TB across 360 servers and Office 365 data, and migrated VMs to HPE SimpliVity with added cybersecurity protections. The solution enabled off-site immutable backups, raised backup success rates, shortened recovery time, reduced the risk of production-stopping downtime, and provided a flexible, group-wide standard for protecting mission-critical systems.
