Sonoco-Trident Preserves Brand Identities for the World’s Largest Companies

Sonoco‑Trident helps more than 2,000 global consumer brands preserve consistent packaging and digital presentation by creating e‑commerce imagery, 3‑D models and CGI. With 600 employees across 11 locations, its digital asset footprint grew to 1.5 PB on 300 VMs (15–20% annual growth), and slow, unreliable backups made it difficult to meet required RTOs/RPOs and ensure business continuity.

Sonoco‑Trident replaced its legacy solution with Veeam Backup & Replication, implemented a redundant, managed infrastructure by Keytech and deployed HPE Nimble Storage at each site. The new solution automated data management, extended onsite retention from 30 to 365 days, delivered ~90% faster backup and recovery (RTOs reduced to one hour) and now reliably meets RTO/RPO targets to protect clients’ brand assets.
