Case Study: SEGA Europe achieves control of VM backup and management with Veeam

A Veeam Case Study

Preview of the SEGA Europe Case Study

SEGA Europe Ltd. Wins Control of VM Backup and Management with Veeam

SEGA Europe Ltd., the UK arm of the global games publisher, was running a growing VMware vSphere estate (about 400 VMs) and struggled with slow, unreliable backups that required constant manual intervention, corrupted backups, and only basic native alerts — leaving the IT team with poor visibility and limited capacity planning while needing to meet long‑term data retention requirements.

Working with partner System Professional, SEGA implemented Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Management Pack for VMware. Backups are now fast, automated and verified for recoverability (with deduplication cutting storage costs), Instant VM Recovery and Explorer for Exchange speed restores, and Veeam MP provides deep monitoring, alerts and capacity planning in SCOM — freeing the team to focus on systems and keeping the business agile.
