Schrack Technik increases the resilience of its IT with a Backup as a Service solution from Veeam

Schrack Technik, a Vienna-based manufacturer and distributor of electrical installation and data products with more than 15,000 items and 50 branches, needed to ensure continuous availability of its e-commerce, planning and logistics systems and protect decentralized file servers and growing Office 365 data from corruption or ransomware. The IT team required a centralized, reliable backup strategy that covered virtualized data-center systems, branch servers and cloud-hosted SharePoint/Exchange data.

Working with its service provider, Schrack Technik extended its existing Veeam Backup & Replication deployment into a Backup-as-a-Service model and added Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365. The solution centralized backups for VMware and Hyper‑V servers, enabled Instant VM Recovery and granular restores for SharePoint and Exchange, and stores long-term data on cost-effective cold storage. As a result the company achieved higher IT availability, improved cyber‑resilience, and eliminated routine backup operations so IT can focus on strategic projects.
