Case Study: Rock Field achieves stronger business continuity and about 30% lower DR operating costs with Veeam on AWS

A Veeam Case Study

Preview of the Rock Field Case Study

Rock Field revamped their DR system with Veeam and AWS and strengthened their Business Continuity Plan (BCP) while reducing operating costs

Rock Field, a Kobe-based prepared-foods maker with about 300 stores, needed to strengthen business continuity after suffering major disruption in past earthquakes. Their on-premises DR setup (a dedicated appliance deployed in 2014) began hitting disk-capacity limits as backups grew with OS upgrades, shrinking retention and raising performance and maintenance concerns.

Rock Field migrated its DR to AWS using Veeam Backup & Replication, removing hardware maintenance and gaining flexible, scalable cloud capacity. The move increased backup targets from 25 to 35 while restoring three-generation retention, simplified operations and reporting, enabled more efficient DR tests, and cut operating costs by roughly 30%, strengthening their BCP.
