Case Study: Provident achieves 87% faster core-banking reconciliation and under-12-hour disaster recovery with Veeam

A Veeam Case Study

Provident tackles financial inclusion with confidence thanks to data resilience from Veeam

Provident, Mexico’s leading doorstep-loan company (part of International Personal Finance), serves underserved and often first-time borrowers across Mexico and now in parts of Europe. As its customer base and data grew, Provident needed continuous, secure access to critical information for credit decisions and regulatory compliance—its native backups weren’t keeping pace amid rising cyberthreats and a move to cloud-hosted VMware on AWS.

Provident deployed the Veeam Data Platform (including Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and Veeam Backup for AWS) to protect about 300 TB of critical systems, storing backups in Amazon S3/Glacier and covering core banking and Microsoft 365. The implementation cut weekly reconciliation time by up to 87% (to as little as six hours), enabled recovery of ~90% of critical services in under six hours during tests, brought full large-scale recovery to under 12 hours, and supported digital transformation without increasing headcount.
