Premier Bank Reduces Data Backup and Recovery Time by One Third with Veeam

Premier Bank, a leading private bank in Bangladesh with 111 branches, 70 agent points and over 400,000 customers, faced a critical data-availability challenge: legacy, manual backup processes and Oracle-built monitoring left data scattered, noncompliant and vulnerable to downtime. Restores could take five to six days and full backup assurance required up to 13 working days, putting SLAs, customer service and the bank’s reputation at risk.

Premier Bank implemented Veeam Availability Suite (with Veeam ONE, Instant VM Recovery and Veeam DataLabs) in phases, achieving 24x7 data availability and automated monitoring with minimal hardware and staff effort. The solution cut backup and recovery time to roughly one-third of the previous duration, reduced recovery times by about 65%, lowered OPEX, improved compliance and reporting, and enabled the bank to meet SLAs with far fewer resources.
