PGA TOUR Superstore Scores a Hole in One with Veeam and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Expands e-commerce and Opens New Stores Fast to Increase Revenue

PGA TOUR Superstore, a rapidly growing retail chain, was constrained by maxed-out production storage that slowed VM provisioning for new point-of-sale systems and stretched nightly backups across four days, risking data protection and degrading e‑commerce performance. With a small IT team and ambitious expansion plans, the company needed a scalable way to ensure 24x7 availability as stores and online sales grew.

Working with CompliancePoint, PGA TOUR Superstore deployed Veeam Availability Suite integrated with HPE 3PAR and HPE StoreOnce to back up 100 VMs (155 TB) from storage snapshots. Backups went from four days to four hours (96% faster), deduplication reduced backup storage to 7.3 TB (≈20:1) allowing local retention to jump from 14 to 180 days, and fast provisioning and recovery now support rapid store openings and uninterrupted e‑commerce.
