Parul University ensures 100% data availability for students, faculty and staff with Veeam

Parul University, a leading private university in Gujarat serving more than 28,000 students, faced a sudden surge in data as remote learning expanded during the pandemic—data volumes doubled from 100PB to 200PB. The university needed reliable, nonstop access to critical systems (including its LMS, ERP and a high‑traffic examination portal used weekly by 28,000 students) but was constrained by backup reliability issues and restore times of up to two hours.

Working with Allot Systems Integration, Parul deployed Veeam Backup & Replication Enterprise Plus after a successful PoC and full rollout in two days. The solution replicates and protects the university’s entire physical and virtual estate, raising backup success to nearly 100% with automated reporting, cutting restore times to as little as 15 minutes, and saving the backup administrator about 20 hours per month—time now redirected to building an on‑premises hyperconverged private cloud and other IT innovations.
