Pareto Securities Replaces HPE StoreOnce, Maximizes Veeam’s Feature Set with ExaGrid

Pareto Securities, a Nordic investment bank with operations across multiple countries, was struggling with long backup windows and scaling limitations using HPE StoreOnce with Veeam. Adding disks only created new controller bottlenecks, backups ran all day, and the environment couldn’t take full advantage of Veeam features like Instant Restore and SureBackup.

By deploying ExaGrid’s scale-out appliances and high-speed “landing zone” alongside Veeam, Pareto cut incremental backup windows from hours/days to minutes and reduced restores to minutes using Instant VM Recovery. The combined per-job and zone-level deduplication lowered storage needs, enabled predictable performance as data grows, and made future scale-out simple by adding appliances.
