Oklahoma Surgical Hospital Solves Backup Challenges

Oklahoma Surgical Hospital (OSH), a 2001-founded surgical center with 20 operating rooms and over 500 staff, was running out of capacity on its storage array while needing file-level restore capabilities and a budgeted renewal of backup software. With no budget for major expansion, the IT team needed a more efficient backup strategy that addressed space, restore requirements, and cost constraints.

SageNet, working with HPE and Veeam, deployed an HPE Apollo storage system and Veeam Backup & Replication, shifting backups to changed‑block-only writes with compression and a new offsite storage location. The change freed SAN space and boosted effective storage capacity tenfold, reduced network load, improved data accessibility and resilience, and was delivered within the existing budget.
