A Veeam Case Study
Mays Business School, part of Texas A&M and serving nearly 6,300 students from campuses in College Station and Houston, needed a more efficient way to protect critical research, administrative and Laserfiche content with a lean IT team of six. Protecting intellectual property and ensuring fast, reliable access to data for students, faculty and staff was essential, as previous processes risked long restore times and potential downtime.
The school implemented Veeam Availability Suite (with Veeam Universal License) to perform agentless backups of 100 VMs across 10 servers and store copies at three data-center sites. The change doubled retention for key data, enabled replica snapshots for rapid recovery, reduced restore times from weeks to minutes, saved about 16 resource hours per full backup and eliminated scheduled downtime while safeguarding research and operations.
