Manufacturer Virtualizes ERP and Completes Digital Transformation with Veeam

Sudenga Industries, a 130‑year‑old manufacturer of grain, feed and seed‑handling equipment with about 250 employees, needed to virtualize its ERP system as the final step in a digital transformation. The company hesitated because legacy backup and recovery had proven unreliable in virtual environments, risking costly downtime, data loss and damage to hard‑earned customer trust.

With help from partner Integrated Solutions, Sudenga deployed Veeam Backup & Replication to protect 20 VMware vSphere VMs (2.5 TB). Veeam enabled the company to virtualize ERP and, when ERP later failed, recover the system in minutes—preventing up to nearly $60,000 in productivity losses and avoiding reputational harm. The solution also sped frequent CAD restores, cut backup costs roughly in half, and saved the IT team about five hours a week in troubleshooting.
