LINKBYNET Integrates Veeam Backup & Replication with its Public Cloud Computing Platform For North American Clients

Since 2007 LINKBYNET has delivered @gile®, a PaaS for outsourced IT management that hosts VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments and provides 24x7 support and disaster recovery. As North American client demand grew, LINKBYNET needed a DR solution that optimized virtual machine backup and recovery while being easy to operate, offering built‑in replication and innovative functionality at a reasonable cost.

In 2012 LINKBYNET integrated Veeam Backup & Replication into its @gile Canada platform, using virtualization‑powered features such as Instant VM Recovery, SureBackup, U‑AIR and On‑demand Sandbox to enable near‑continuous protection, rapid restores (failed VMs can be restarted from backup in about two minutes) and verified recoverability. The result was simplified operations, new service offerings, strong performance and reliability for demanding clients, and better control of costs and complexity.
