Kraš, the largest confectionery maker in southeastern Europe based in Zagreb, runs a 240-VM VMware environment supporting business‑critical applications (Exchange, SQL) and 2,000 user desktops. Legacy monitoring tools didn’t provide the detail or proactive alerts needed—particularly for datastore capacity—making root‑cause analysis slow and SLA compliance difficult, so the team sought a way to extend Microsoft SCOM to cover their virtual infrastructure.
Kraš deployed Veeam Management Pack for VMware to extend SCOM with end‑to‑end visibility, topology maps, real‑time dashboards, alerts and capacity‑planning reports. The solution delivered a unified physical/virtual view, much faster troubleshooting (up to 10×), proactive alerts to prevent issues, and roughly 2–3 hours saved per week while improving SLA management and data center efficiency.
