Jel Sert Optimizes Backup Environment with Combination of ExaGrid and Veeam

The Jel Sert Company, a century-old food and beverage manufacturer, had been relying on tape-based backups and was moving to a virtualized environment. They needed to reduce dependence on tape, shorten backup windows, speed restores, and establish reliable offsite disaster recovery while transitioning from Quest vRanger to a more stable, feature-rich backup application.

Jel Sert deployed ExaGrid appliances (with a disk “landing zone” and adaptive deduplication) and migrated backup jobs to Veeam, replicating data to an offsite ExaGrid DR system. The result: daily incrementals now take about 20 minutes and full backups about two hours, files restore in under a minute and servers in minutes to an hour, tape use was greatly reduced, and the company gained faster VM recoveries plus dedicated ExaGrid support and confidence in a long-term solution.
