Case Study: Transdev Sverige achieves 90% faster backups and improved business resilience with Veeam Backup & Replication

Transdev Sverige, a major public-transport operator in Sweden handling about 400,000 journeys daily, needed to modernize its backup and recovery to support growing real‑time passenger data and an expanding IoT footprint. The IT team’s goals were to accelerate backups, improve business continuity and free up staff time so they could focus on service innovation.

Working with partner Egloo, Transdev deployed Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE on HPE ProLiant servers with HPE 3PAR storage and HPE StoreOnce across two data centers, adopting disk-based backups, deduplication and the 3-2-1 rule. The result: backups complete ~90% faster with no operational impact, routine administration dropped from roughly two hours a week to about 15 minutes (and overall backup administration fell by 10%), new systems can be added to backups in 10 seconds, and data protection and ransomware resilience were significantly improved.
