IMSAF protects revenues with data resilience and ransomware protection from Veeam

Isuzu Motors South Africa (IMSAF) is an automotive manufacturer and distributor based in Port Elizabeth, supporting more than 1,000 employees and 115 dealers. After divesting from GM and building its own IT infrastructure, IMSAF found its legacy backup tool could take hours or days to restore mission‑critical SAP data, putting sales, parts ordering and revenue at risk.

IMSAF replaced the legacy solution with the Veeam Data Platform to back up 78.5 TB across 135 virtual machines using native SAP tools, store backups on‑premises and replicate to a secondary site for near‑instant failover. The change cut recovery time objectives by more than 99% (recovering SAP data in minutes), enabled seamless business continuity, provided immutable backups to defend against ransomware and helped support 32% vehicle sales growth between 2018 and 2024.
